Sales Engineer – Gauteng

The successful candidate would be responsible for promoting and selling solutions, equipment and related services to clients in the South African Food Industry. This involves building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and recommending tailored solutions that utilise our International Partners equipment & solutions. The role requires technical knowledge background, sales acumen, and preferably process knowledge in the red meat and poultry processing industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development: Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the region.

Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with both existing and potential clients.

Needs Analysis: Conducting thorough assessments to understand the customer’s requirements.

Solution Selling: Recommending and selling solutions/equipment to meet customer’s needs and future growth paths.

Technical Expertise: Providing technical support and guidance to customers

throughout the sales process.

Sales Cycle Management: Managing the sales process, from lead generation to deal closure.

Sales Targets: Meeting and exceeding sales targets for revenue and profitability.

Market Knowledge: Staying updated on industry trends, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications Required:

Sales Experience: Proven experience in technical equipment and solution sales, particularly in the South African food processing industry.

Communication Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills are essential.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with similar solutions/equipment to our international partners or similar equipment will be an advantage.

Sales Skills: Experience in managing the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing deals.
